Job Description:

As a High School Spanish Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the language skills and cultural awareness of our high school students. You will be responsible for designing and delivering comprehensive Spanish language instruction while fostering a deep appreciation for Spanish-speaking cultures. Your role will include creating engaging and interactive lessons, assessing student progress, and collaborating with other educators to provide a well-rounded educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver high-quality Spanish language lessons that align with state standards and curriculum guidelines.
• Cultivate a classroom environment that encourages active participation, critical thinking, and a love for the Spanish language and cultures.
• Assess and evaluate student performance, providing constructive feedback to support their language development.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods and technology to engage and support diverse learners.
• Organize and maintain a well-equipped classroom with an array of educational resources.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience through interdisciplinary projects and activities.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field.
• State teaching certification for Spanish or eligibility to obtain one.
• Previous experience teaching Spanish at the high school level is preferred.
• Proficiency in the Spanish language, with excellent speaking, reading, and writing skills.
• Strong knowledge of Spanish language and culture, as well as current teaching methodologies.
• Effective classroom management and communication skills.
