Job Description

We are looking for full-time Teacher Assistants, wanting to start in the next four weeks, to work with early childhood education centers, preschools, and daycares across the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metropolitan area.

As a Teacher Assistant, you will support the Lead Teacher in executing lesson plans, managing the classroom as well as implementing activities. In this role, you will also be responsible for actively engaging with the children throughout the day and supporting their development.

In this role, it will provide the next step in developing your career in Early Childhood Education. You will gain experience through learning next to qualified Lead Teachers and gaining opportunities to assist more with activities in the center. This role comes with a competitive hourly rate between $17 - $22 per hour, paid weekly. With this role, there is no requirement to work weekends and will be on a Monday to Friday schedule within hours of 7:30 to 4:30 pm or 8:15 am - 5:15 pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Lead teacher in daily activities with the children in the center
  • Follow guidelines and company standards to ensure the daily care of every child in your classroom.
  • Develop your ability to accurately observe, assess, and plan for children’s growth and development
  • Maintaining a safe environment
  • Utilize a variety of learning methods to enhance the student learning experiences and support them as needed

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree or higher
  • Pediatric First aid & CPR certification
  • 1-year experience working with children in a daycare center as a Teacher Aide
  • Applicants must have professional proficiency in English
  • US Work Authorization as Zen Educate is unable to sponsor any employment visa or relocation assistance at this time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 1+ years of experience as a Teacher Assistant
  • Daycare training (SUID/ SIDS, AHT, or similar)
  • Basic understanding of classroom expectations
