Property Accounting Manager
Dallas, TX // Hybrid - 3 Days Onsite

If you're on the hunt to be a part of a fun team and great culture, one of Vaco's commercial real estate clients is looking to onboard a Senior Property Accountant. This is an exciting new opportunity due to growth of the company and Property Accountants will be responsible for a portfolio of large-scale entities.

They're looking for folks that have prior multi-unit experience in the real estate space; additional, culture is super important to them - they are the "loudest group in the office" with super casual laid back vibes.

Summary of Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and analyze GLs for assigned properties.
  • Work directly with property managers on troubleshooting, answering questions, etc.
  • Ensure that rents are billed accurately, and revenue and lease costs are accounted for properly in accordance with GAAP.
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
  • Confirm accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year end close processes.
  • Assist in preparation of audit and tax schedule and returns.
  • Support in the preparation and review of monthly variances and analysis of variances (actual to budget on P/L).

Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in accounting.
  • Commercial real estate industry experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related.
  • Thorough GAAP understanding.
  • Excel skills including vlookups and pivot tables, Yardi experience a plus.
