This is an exciting new opportunity due to growth of the company and Property Accountants will be responsible for a portfolio of large-scale entities.
They're looking for folks that have prior multi-unit experience in the real estate space; additional, culture is super important to them - they are the "loudest group in the office" with super casual laid back vibes.

Summary of Responsibilities:
- Maintain and analyze GLs for assigned properties.
- Work directly with property managers on troubleshooting, answering questions, etc.
- Ensure that rents are billed accurately, and revenue and lease costs are accounted for properly in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
- Confirm accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year end close processes.
- Assist in preparation of audit and tax schedule and returns.
- Support in the preparation and review of monthly variances and analysis of variances (actual to budget on P/L).
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in accounting.
- Commercial real estate industry experience.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related.
- Thorough GAAP understanding.
- Excel skills including vlookups and pivot tables, Yardi experience a plus.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
- the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
