Job Description:

The role requires a candidate who can effectively oversee the assembly, repair, and inventory management of equipment for the Federal Aviation Administration, ensuring that all activities are executed with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to drive results and maintain strict compliance with industry regulations while creating detailed technical documentation on computer systems and individual components to support maintenance and sustainment efforts. The location for the performance of this program is Melbourne, FL. Employee must be located on site.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Provide leadership, oversight, and guidance for all program Logistical elements.
    • Drive team performance by fostering a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency.
    • Maintain a safe working environment by identifying hazards, implementing preventive measures, and conducting safety training sessions.
  • Interfaces with multidiscipline team to provide Integrated Product Support.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and government personnel, providing timely updates and addressing inquiries related to the team's activities.
  • Manage cost account, schedule, and milestones related to logistical support.
    • Proactively manage project timelines to meet critical milestones within time and budget constraints.
    • Utilize project management tools and techniques to forecast potential delays and implement contingency plans to mitigate risks.
  • Create work orders and provide oversight for depot repairs and maintenance activities.
    • Uphold high standards of workmanship in line with industry best practices and organizational guidelines.
    • Act as a liaison between management and team leaders to synchronize efforts across different operational periods.
  • Reviews, approves, and manages all shipments of parts, consumables, and items from the depot facility.
    • Oversee the inventory management process, ensuring accurate tracking, storage, and allocation of materials and components.
  • Manages government property, performs inventories, overseas audits, and prepares property reports on routine basis.
  • Authors FAA technical manuals and training for operational, instructional, and service procedures in accordance with customer requirements.
    • Design and execute a comprehensive set of Operating Instructions that equips team members with the necessary knowledge and skills for their roles.
  • Develops and presents briefings at weekly technical meetings and monthly program management reviews.
  • Participates and leads professional discussions in technical interchange meetings.
  • Maintains document and version control of formal/informal training deliverables.
  • Provides backup support for other Integrated Product Support managers.
  • Supports bid and proposal efforts for new pursuits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years leading an Integrated Product Support team.
  • Minimum of two (2) years managing Depot Operations maintaining fielded hardware.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience supporting a government program in the Operations and Maintenace phase.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with Quality Management Systems, Engineering processes, and life cycle management
  • Experience utilizing EVMS and reporting IMS milestone status.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio) and Adobe Acrobat DC.
  • Must be team oriented and customer focused.
  • Ability to obtain and continue to hold an FAA Public Trust clearance.
