Space Ground System Solutions (SGSS), a subsidiary of Parsons, has an immediate full-time opening for an IT Support and Logistics Specialist on its IT Support and Antenna Services team. The Specialist will be embedded within a multi-disciplined team including procurement, asset management and IT Support engineersadministrators to perform internal support services. In this role, you will help with the efficient, smooth, and precise tracking of IT assets within the growing organization.

As the organization continues to mature, the IT Asset Specialist will be pivotal in managing everything from digital assets to cloud services. Your ability to methodically approach the management of software and hardware, such as licenses, service contracts, and warranties will be an important step in improving the productivity of the company.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must meet eligibility requirements to obtain aSecret clearance; with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
  • BS in Computer Science/Engineering or other relevant Engineering field from an accredited university or equivalent combination of formal education and experience
  • Experience troubleshooting Windows Laptops, applications and Linux based applications deployments
  • Strong skills with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Project, Visio), SharePoint and logistics software
  • Minimum 2 years hands-on experience as Tier 1 Support Technician with a solid understanding of multiple technologies.
  • 2-3 years of experience in logistics management
  • CompTIA A+, Security+ and at least 1 other MS certification
  • Good collaboration and teamwork abilities
  • Minimum 2 years' experience problem-solving and time management
  • Self-motivated, dependable/reliable, and able to independently prioritize tasking in a very fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Detail-oriented, proactive and highly organized while prioritizing work and multi-tasking
  • Outstanding customer service providing end-user with timely technical advice and support as needed.
  • Knowledge of basic network principles and functions (e.g., DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, etc.)
  • Extraordinary oral and written communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience troubleshooting Windows Laptops, applications and Linux based applications deployments
