Job Responsibilities & Description for Masking Technician: 
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Follow verbal & written instructions to perform work correctly and on time.
  • Read & understand customer specifications and drawings.
  • Responsible for placing plastic tape, vinyl tape, or rubber plugs on metal parts, using the drawing and work order instructions as a guide.
  • Use all materials in an efficient and cost-effective manner; and make suggestions to area supervisor on ways to be more efficient or reduce cost.
  • Properly rack masked parts for further processing.
  • Carefully de-mask product after processing is complete.
  • Visually inspect all parts for quality of work, at all stages (mask, rack, de-mask).
  • Transport parts from masking to finishing stations.
  • Keep all areas organized and clean.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements for Job Title:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn internal software systems.
  • Masking Experience; preferred but not required. 
  • Experience with ERP system; preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
  • Willing to work flexible hours and overtime when necessary.
  • Must perform all duties in conjunction with quality system requirements.
