Our client, a very strategic and growing company in the Triad, has an immediate opportunity for an experienced AP Manager. An ideal candidate would have excellent management skills and very strong accounting technical skills.
Some responsibilities include:
  • Manage the accounts payable department by ensuring that the functions of the department are prioritized and managed accordingly
  • Overall improvement of the accounts payable process by evaluating and streamlining processes.
  • Enhance and maintain internal controls, working cross-functionally within the organization
  • Overall responsibility for a complete and accurate customer master database
  • Perform month-end and periodic reconciliations, analyzing and reporting accordingly
  • Responsible for stop payments/reissues as needed, and resolve banking issues related to unauthorized transactions
  • Process weekly check and ACH payment runs, and processing wires as needed
  • Manage the internal credit card platform, and related expense reporting
  • Manage the monthly closing of the accounts payable module, and reconciling the accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger, preparing and entering journal entries as required
  • Responsible for the reconciliation and settlement of intercompany balances on a monthly basis
  • Manage annual 1099 process for all related entities
  • Assist in ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting with a minimum of 4 years of related work experience
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Results oriented with a developed knowledge of accounting procedures
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with customer service focus
  • Proven ability to succeed in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external parties to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.
