Vaco Staffing is seeking a Surgery Scheduler for a permanent staff role Flexibility with work location required. 40 hours per week. 

Job Responsibilities Include: 

  • Manage surgical scheduling based on surgeon availability, patient needs, and operating room resources, including both elective and emergency procedures.

  • Communicate with patients and medical staff: Contact patients to arrange surgery dates and provide instructions, while working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other staff to ensure preparation and coordination.

  • Ensure all necessary documentation, including consent forms and insurance verification, is completed and processed.

  • Oversee the scheduling of operating rooms and surgical instruments, address scheduling conflicts, and handle any last-minute changes or emergencies.

  • Keep accurate records of surgery schedules and changes, generate reports on surgery volumes and patient wait times, and follow up with patients as needed.
     

Requirements:
  • At least two years of experience with surgical scheduling - REQUIRED
  • Proficiency in using scheduling software, electronic health records, and other computer applications commonly used in healthcare settings. 
  • Awareness of healthcare compliance, legal requirements, and patient confidentiality practices.
  • Flexibility and an ability to adapt to changes in schedules or procedures, as necessary.

  • the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
