Vaco Staffing is looking for a Surgery Scheduler for a permanent staff position. Flexibility with work location is required, with a commitment of 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Coordinate surgical appointments based on the availability of surgeons, patient requirements, and operating room resources, encompassing both elective and urgent procedures.
  • Engage with patients and healthcare professionals: Reach out to patients to schedule surgery dates and provide necessary instructions, while collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other medical staff to ensure thorough preparation and coordination.
  • Verify that all essential documentation, including consent forms and insurance confirmations, is completed and processed accurately.
  • Manage the scheduling of operating rooms and surgical instruments, resolve scheduling conflicts, and address any last-minute adjustments or emergencies.
  • Maintain precise records of surgery schedules and modifications, generate reports on surgical volumes and patient wait times, and follow up with patients as required.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of two years of experience in surgical scheduling is REQUIRED.
  • Proficiency in utilizing scheduling software, electronic health records, and other commonly used applications in healthcare environments.
  • Understanding of healthcare compliance, legal standards, and patient confidentiality protocols.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in schedules or procedures as necessary.
