Description:This is an expatriate position based in Canberra, Australia. The assignment is expected to last a minimum of two years.

We are seeking a systems engineer to support GEOINT capability collaboration efforts with the USG and international partners. This one-deep on-site support role will provide systems integration, systems administration, technical planning, verification, and sustainment support to Australian defense organizations. Working with the Australian sustainment team, this position will contribute to a broad range of IT-focused technical initiatives involving systems administration on Linux/Windows operating systems, capability verification and test activities, documentation, troubleshooting, fault-finding, and problem reporting. The successful candidate will be able to develop an understanding of all aspects of GEOINT/IMINT workflows (tasking, collection, data transformation, delivery, exploitation and reporting) and consult on IT systems and capabilities used to support those workflows.
Basic Qualifications:
• Linux systems administration and operations

• Windows systems administration and operations

TS/SCI security clearance needed to start

Preference for this requisition will be given to Space Employees.
Desired Skills:
• Shell scripting

• Networking

• Experience with international customers

• GEOINT/Geospatial exposure

• Transition to operations (TTO), IT Governance, System documentation

• System architecture, engineering

• Confluence/Jira tools in an Agile environment

• Knowledge of DEVOPS/DEVSECOPs, microservices/containerization or CI/CD pipelines

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to work under consultative (rather than prescriptive) direction.

• IT or Engineering Background with appropriate credentials (e.g. BS/BA or MS/ME, etc.)

• Detail oriented

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
