Job Summary:

The incumbent is responsible for program development, financial management and personnel administration for all student affairs functions.

Essential Job Functions :

  • Provides direction and supervision to the units and directors within the Office of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management
  • Oversees the daily operations of Campus Police and Emergency Services departments.
  • Develops key collaborative relationships with campus administrative areas, faculty and campus and community leaders to enhance planning and implementation of strategic initiatives, resolving issues and responding to crisis incidents
  • Coordinates Student Affairs response to major crises and other unusual events impacting students within the university community
  • Provides leadership and guidance in analysis, review, creation and interpretation of student policies and procedures
  • Serves as a resource to university faculty and staff in dealing with students’ disruptive behavior, within and outside the classroom
  • Provides direction and intervention for students in crisis and non-crisis situations, including intervening with mental health staff, providing victim advocacy, and working with staff and students affected by the crisis
  • Develops strategies for promotion of student engagement and learning in collaboration with the Office of Academic Affairs
  • Oversees outreach to diverse student populations to support institutional diversity and inclusion goals
  • Other related duties, as assigned
