Position Summary: The Data Compliance Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing data governance and compliance efforts within our organization. This role requires a deep understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) tools and healthcare technology. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data compliance, regulatory requirements, and healthcare data standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data governance and compliance strategies to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Oversee the use and management of Master Data Management (MDM) tools to maintain data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish data management best practices and standards.
  • Monitor and audit data processes to identify and mitigate risks related to data privacy and security.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare data regulations, such as HIPAA, HITECH, and GDPR.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on data compliance policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular assessments and audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with industry standards.
  • Work closely with IT and data teams to implement and maintain secure data management systems.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in data compliance and healthcare technology to continuously improve processes and policies.
  • Respond to data breaches and other compliance issues promptly and effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Compliance Manager or similar role in the healthcare technology sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) tools and data governance frameworks.
  • In-depth understanding of healthcare data regulations, including HIPAA, HITECH, and GDPR.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work environment.
  • Relevant certifications in data management or compliance (e.g., CIPP, CHPC) are a plus.

  • the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
