Radar Systems Engineer

The Opportunity:

As a Radar Systems Engineer, you understand the workings behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to developing the hardware and software required for controls or control equipment. We’re looking for an radar systems engineer who can use their skills to design and develop operator interface modules, controls architecture, and other related system components.

At Booz Allen, you’ll use your engineering skills to transform projects into sensor and combat system prototypes. Our team conducts research and development, test and evaluation, prototype development, and deployment sustainment support to client systems. That’s why we need you, a radar systems engineer, with both hardware and software expertise, to help us design and develop innovate solutions and systems for DoD.

On our team, you’ll design, test, and analyze electronic equipment to establish operating controls. You’ll directly impact the development of sensor and combat systems. We’ll look to you to share your engineering expertise through leadership and mentoring junior staff. This is a chance to use your experience-based knowledge in sensor and software development while broadening your skillset into areas like mechanical engineering, pulsed power engineering, electrical engineering, software engineering, and systems engineering.

You Have:

  • 15+ years of experience with software engineering

  • 10+ years of experience with DoD sensor or weapons systems

  • 5+ years of experience with developing real-time systems with C++

  • 5+ years of software design

  • Experience performing detailed and complex software design and development meeting sub millisecond timing requirements

  • Experience with software design and development for DOD sensor or weapon systems with a minimum of 200,000 Source Lines of Code (SLOC)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics

  • Secret clearance

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with conducting regular security scans, analyzing results, and implementing resolutions, including testing new hardware and software and ensuring compliance with STIGs

  • Knowledge of DevSecOps techniques, continuous integration, continuous testing, continuous deployment, trade studies and analysis of alternatives, and development of end-to-end solution deployment across environments

  • Ability to identify risks proactively, recommend mitigating actions, and drive them to resolution

  • CompTIA Security+ or IAT II 8570 Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
