Position: Purchasing ClerkPay Range: $20 - $25 per hour Schedule/Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PMJob Description: We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for resolving accounts payable discrepancies, assisting with inventory counts, reviewing invoices, performing receipt of goods/invoice entry, and ensuring data integrity in SAP. This position requires strong Excel skills, proactive communication, and the ability to manage time effectively.Responsibilities:
  • Resolve accounts payable discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Assist with occasional physical inventory counts and update spreadsheets accordingly.
  • Review invoices from AP for accuracy and confirm receipt of products/services.
  • Perform receipt of goods/invoice entry accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure data integrity in SAP and streamline transactional processes.
  • Monitor supplier performance and participate in audit controls.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in a business-related field preferred.
  • 2 to 3 years of purchasing experience or education in a related field preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Chemical and/or manufacturing experience desired.
  • Familiarity with SAP, specifically data entry and inventory control.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and be a self-starter.
  • Proactive communication skills to alert purchasing and accounts payable of potential issues.
  • Detail-oriented with accurate data entry skills and ability to identify discrepancies.
  • Track record of following up with vendors on orders and identifying delays.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with company personnel and vendors.
  • Comfortable working in a plant/warehouse environment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk.
  • Lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Work environment: Office setting with some warehouse interaction.
