Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

About Us:  Our client is a well-established leader in the manufacturing industry, dedicated to delivering exceptional products and services. They are currently seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team and manage their accounts payable processes effectively.

Position Summary: The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for processing a high volume of invoices, with a target of 250 invoices daily, while ensuring accuracy through three-way matching. This role is critical to maintaining the integrity of our financial operations and supporting our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process a high volume of invoices daily, targeting 250 invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, receipts, and invoices to ensure accuracy before processing payments.
  • Maintain organized records of all transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and ensure the accuracy of invoice submissions.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable, including accruals and reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to facilitate the timely resolution of issues related to invoices and payments.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the accounts payable function.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in accounts payable, preferably in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of three-way matching processes and related accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Strong Excel skills, including the ability to analyze data and create reports.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
