PiperCompanies is currently seeking an Operations Supervisor, Microbiology to support a global food safety, and quality company in Arlington, TX

Responsibilities of the Operations Supervisor, Microbiology

·Supervise departmental personnel in conducting routine food sample analysis, ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.

·Communicate client requirements to laboratory personnel and address procedural or operational difficulties with client service personnel.

·Read, calculate, and record analysis data, correcting discrepancies to produce accurate client reports.

·Administer corporate human resource programs related to recruitment, retention, compensation, training, and development.

·Educate and train departmental personnel on procedures and new analysis methods, recommending modifications as needed.

·Arrange work schedules, assist with analysis tasks, and maintain supplies and instrumentation for operating departments.

·Cease specific analyses when quality system evidence indicates a compromised process, in collaboration with Operations Manager or Lab Director.

·Maintain knowledge of Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and ensure employees are adequately trained.

·Attend relevant seminars, stay updated on food science developments, and support corporate quality and continuous improvement processes.

Qualifications of the Operations Supervisor, Microbiology

·Proven experience in laboratory operations and supervision.

·In-depth knowledge of food sample analysis, Standard Operating Procedures, and human resource management.

·Strong organizational and communication skills.

·Ability to troubleshoot procedural and operational challenges.

·Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

·Continuous learning mindset and commitment to quality improvement.
