Responsibilities:
- Participate in the Sales Development Programinitiatives as assigned
- Successfulcompletion of Phases I, II, and III to graduate from theprogram
- Responsible for meeting orexceeding sales and margin goals
- Demonstrateoutstanding customer service to build relationships and ensurecustomer satisfaction
- Present new items,identify and close sales to existing customers
- Work with manufacturers' representatives to sell promoteditems
- Attend sales meetings and meet withsales manager on a regular basis
- Communicateand cooperate in a productive manner with alldepartments
- Utilize all appropriate VIP(Dimensions of Professional selling) techniques andmethodologies
- Perform other duties andresponsibilities as required
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED equivalentrequired
- Bachelor's degree in ProfessionalSelling, Marketing or Business preferred
- Ability to self-motivate and work independently, withminimal supervision
- Outstanding customerservice skills and the ability to work in a team setting with adiverse group of employees, managers, and outsideparties
- Exceptional analytical,organizational, and oral/written communication skills
- Ability to utilize acceptable mathematicalskills
- Demonstrate a friendly and professionalexperience
- Ability to effectively useMicrosoft Office products such as Outlook, Word andExcel
- Previous experience selling in a paper,packaging, janitorial/sanitation or food service distributionindustry is preferred
- Strong planning,organizational and time management skills, as well as stronganalytical problem-solving skills.
- Must be aself-starter with strong leadership skills and a creative initiatorwith the ability to motivate.
- Must be teamorientated with excellent customer service and sellingskills.
- Must be able to travel, with overnightstays a minimum of 2-3 nights per week.
