Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and coordinate with the businessacross the HR function answering routine employee questions,maintain employment files, process improvement, reporting andanalysis
  • Provide advice to management team onrelative HR and Employee Relations issues
  • Support management with disciplinary and terminationprocesses; monitors performance improvement
  • Maintain accuracy of HR data
  • Workcollaboratively with other members of the HR team and businessoperations
  • Administer various HR functions andprocedures for all regional employees
  • Act asconsultant and coach to management and employees in the area ofemployee relations and conducts exit interviews
  • Administer regional workers’ compensation programcoordinating with the branch Warehouse and OfficeManagers
  • Maintain Human Resources InformationSystem (HRIS) records and compiles reports from database
  • Facilitate in-house management training; coordinatevarious other training programs
  • Applyknowledge of employment laws, employee relations practices and HRdisciplines
  • Contribute to the development ofHR projects and initiatives
  • Identify anddiagnose issues proactively and develops, recommends and implementsroot cause solutions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources orBusiness Administration preferred
  • Minimum offive or more years of Human Resources experiencerequired
  • Bilingual in English/Spanishpreferred
  • Prior union experience aplus
  • Professional in maintaining a high levelof confidentiality
  • Knowledge of employmentlaws, employee relations practices and HR disciplines
  • In-depth understanding of HR practices, employeerelations, fundamentals, and laws/regulations
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitormultiple projects simultaneously and the ability to meetdeadlines
  • Strong computer skills, MicrosoftOffice products and HRIS system experience
  • Must have effective interpersonal skills andcommunication skills
  • Travel requiredapproximately 10-15%

Bunzl FountainValley salary range:  $70-$90K plus bonus eligibility based onexperience, education and geographic location.
