Cybersecurity Technical Writer, Mid

Key Role:

Writes and edits technical documentation, user manuals and sales and training literature. Applies specific functional knowledge and general industry knowledge. Develops or contributes to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with some guidance and may review or guide activities of more junior employees.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with security principles, approaches, and technologies in academic or internship environments

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Experience with presentations and reporting

  • Ability to think critically independently and in a team environment, analyze information systems for security posture, and communicate the information effectively

  • Ability to complete Technical editing

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Ability to obtain Security+ Certification within 6 months of start date

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience as a technical writer or editor

  • Experience with working on major DoD space programs

  • Top Secret clearance

  • Master's degree

  • CISSP Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $54,000.00 to $123,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
