Auria Space is on the lookout for a dedicated Cybersecurity Analyst to enhance our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity and security of our data transport systems, which are essential for reliable telemetry, tracking, command, control, and communications.
Role Summary
The Cybersecurity Analyst will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing advanced secure operating systems, networks, and database solutions. This position will lead risk evaluations and offer insights for application architecture. The role also involves spearheading cybersecurity projects, including the development of firewalls, management of electronic data traffic, and overseeing network access protocols. Guidance on encryption technologies, vulnerability assessments, and security research will also be key responsibilities. Additionally, the analyst may assist in preparing security reports for regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple Risk Management Framework (RMF) packages and conduct risk assessments across mission systems.
- Act as a cybersecurity authority, mentoring junior analysts in effective RMF practices.
- Establish and execute an Anti-virus/Malware identification protocol for equipment management.
- Collaborate with the IA patching team and program office to create a comprehensive IA/Cybersecurity Roadmap.
- Work with government stakeholders to apply system security engineering principles in the development of secure applications.
- Facilitate annual cybersecurity control validations in accordance with established directives.
- Participate in Technical Interchange Meetings to secure cybersecurity community approval at critical project stages.
- Contribute to the formulation and enforcement of policies and standards related to information security and incident response.
- Provide technical management for integrated security systems and solutions.
- Utilize tools to monitor information systems for security incidents.
- Evaluate cybersecurity configuration changes for major security infrastructure.
- Maintain a repository of security audit tools for system testing and incident response.
- Willingness to travel may be required.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
· Candidates should demonstrate strong technical skills, analytical abilities, decision-making capabilities, and a commitment to customer service.
Preferred Qualifications:
- DoD 8140 Cyber Defense Analyst or Vulnerability Analyst Intermediate Qualification or relevant certifications.
- Experience with cybersecurity tools and frameworks.
- Adaptability and readiness to tackle unexpected challenges.
Compensation: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, skills, and experience.
