This position is responsible formaintaining, monitoring and auditing trade compliance processes forBunzl entities involved in international trade. The primary focusfor this position will be to support U.S. Bunzl legal entities. TheTrade Compliance Analyst will ensure compliance with all companypolicies related to import and export compliance, proactivelydevelop process improvements based on audit findings, and work withmultiple different Customs Brokers within North America.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the import products databases for BunzlInternational Services.
  • Manage the HarmonizedTariff Schedule (HTS) classifications of imported items to ensureproper financial accounting of Customs tariffs and fees with U.S.Customs & Border Protection (CBP).
  • Managepre and/or post entry auditing processes for Bunzl InternationalServices imports.
  • Analyze and report onmetrics of Importer Security Filings (ISF) and Customs Brokeragekey performance indicators for Bunzl InternationalServices.
  • Assure proper maintenance ofrecordkeeping requirements.
  • Coordinate withTrade Compliance team members on compliance related projects acrossmultiple Bunzl entities.
  • Participate on Bunzlcross-company teams to continuously improve tradecompliance.
  • Serve as a resource to the TradeCompliance Specialist on ISF filings and Customs Brokercommunication when transaction volume is high.
  • Stay up to date on any U.S., Canadian or Mexicanregulation changes that affect import and export compliance andkeep relevant Bunzl entities informed of such changes.
  • Manage Free Trade Agreement certificate solicitationprojects as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Legal related field; orequivalent experience.
  • Experience with readingand interpreting government regulations.
  • Experience with classifying commodities with a U.S.Harmonized Tariff Schedule number.
  • Proficientin Microsoft Excel and experience monitoring and reporting KPImetrics.
  • Willingness to attend continuingeducation seminars and classes focused on TradeCompliance.
  • Ability to communicate effectivelywith persons of differing responsibility levels.
  • Experience working with U.S. Customs Brokers.
  • 10 – 20% travel may be required at times.
  • Ability and willingness to work toward Customs BrokerLicense or Certified Customs Specialist designation.
  • Audit international trade transactions forcompliance.
  • Experience working withpredominantly Asian imports into the U.S.
  • Workwith web based Global Trade Management systems.
  • Experience training others on Trade Compliancetopics.
