Vaco is hiring a Manager of Fixed Assets in Jacksonville, Florida.  This is a direct hire position that is fully remote.

Description
  • Supervises recording of fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions in the designated system and retains records of supporting documentation for all transactions.
  • Monitors and maintains a system of controls, procedures and forms for the recordation of fixed assets including acquisitions, disposals and adjustments to maintain accurate records and timely and accurate reporting.
  • Supervises the reconciliation of the fixed asset and project costing sub systems to the general ledger and prepares periodic fixed asset roll- forwards and other related reports requirement by management.

Job Requirement
  • Supervises recording of fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions in the designated system and retains records of supporting documentation for all transactions. (50%)
  • Monitors and maintains a system of controls, procedures and forms for the recordation of fixed assets including acquisitions, disposals and adjustments to maintain accurate records and timely and accurate reporting. (10%)
  • Supervises the reconciliation of the fixed asset and project costing sub systems to the general ledger and prepares periodic fixed asset roll- forwards and other related reports requirement by management. (10%)
  • Tracks company expenditures for fixed assets in comparison to the capital budget and management authorizations and prepare reports for quarterly CIP meetings. (8%)
  • Prepares and/or reviews audit schedules relating to fixed assets and any other assigned accounts, and assist the auditors in their inquiries. (8%)
  • Coordinates periodic physical inventory counts of all fixed assets on a two-year cycle. (5%)
  • Researches, analyzes, and reconciles financial discrepancies including responses to inquiries from management. (5%)
  • Analyzes, prepares journal entries and reconciles other balance sheet and income statement accounts, as assigned. (4%)
Qualifications
  • Required Education:  Bachelor's Degree
  • Preferred Education:   Finance or Accounting Degree
  • Necessary Skills:  Ability to manage staff
  • Preferred Licensure/Certifications: CPA
  • Required Experience: Over 5 years fixed assets and/or construction related accounting experience.
  • Preferred Experience: 10 years experience in fixed assets and/or construction related accounting
  • Supervision: Supervisory responsibility of 2 employees.

  • the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
