Location: NYC (Midtown -10165)
Payrate: $30/hr -$33/hr
Contract to Hire
Onsite Monday -Thursday with Fridays WFH
Free parking and easy access to public transit
Software: Rasier’s Edge – highly preferred but any large ERP system would be appicable
Job Description:
About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced A/R Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of accounts receivable, contributing to the overall financial health of our non-profit organization.
Responsibilities:
- Accounts Receivable Processing:
- Process incoming payments and apply them to the correct accounts.
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues.
- Prepare and send invoices to clients and donors.
- Monitor aging reports and take necessary actions to expedite collections.
- Cash Posting:
- Accurately post cash receipts to the accounting system.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare daily cash deposits.
- Customer Relations:
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve billing issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and donors.
- Reporting:
- Generate various reports, including aging reports, cash receipts reports, and other financial reports as needed.
- Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes.

- the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
