We are seeking a visionary Head of Design to lead our design team and drive the creation of exceptional product and brand experiences. This candidate will join a well-funded, fast-growing technology startup with the unique opportunity to help build out a critical function for the company.

Role Overview: As the Head of Design, you will be at the forefront of shaping our product’s user experience and elevating our brand’s visual identity. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design excellence across all customer touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of talented designers in both product and brand design functions.
  • Develop and execute design strategies that align with our company’s business goals.
  • Oversee the entire design process, from concept to delivery, ensuring high-quality standards.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the design team.
  • Collaborate with product management, engineering, and marketing teams to create cohesive and impactful design solutions.
  • Establish and maintain design systems and guidelines to ensure brand consistency.
  • Present design concepts and deliverables to stakeholders and executive leadership.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in design, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing expertise in product design, UX/UI, and brand development.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, and others.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of managing and inspiring design teams.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • A strategic thinker with a user-centered design approach.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced SaaS or tech environment is preferred.

Bonus:

  • You have experience in and around the speciality contractor or construction world
  • You have experience at a high growth vertical SAAS startup
  • Familiarity (ideally expertise) with Salesforce, JIRA, Slack, Confluence
