We are currently seeking a 3PL Quality Control Manager; Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Direct all operations and functions of the Quality Control Department located in City of Industry, California (Port Logistics Group) by performing the following duties.
Impact on Business (i.e. business contribution, nature and scope of responsibility, risk and financial management)
Insure that all quality standards and policies as established by the Vice President of Quality Control are applied
Direct Quality operations of 3PL to achieve completion of all work required in conformance with quality standards and shipping schedules.
Oversee the 3PL quality operations of the measuring, inspecting, repairs and SAP operations
Establish whether finished goods coming into the 3PL Distribution Centres are shippable or in need of repairs
Confer with the Vice President of Quality Control and EVP of Quality/Production team in NY when finished goods received are deemed to be not shippable and to reason why.
Monitor the staffing of all personnel to assure that there is an even flow of work coming through the inbound of 3PL distribution centre.
Innovation and Change (i.e. range and diversity of activities, problems, processes, market dynamics and management challenges that need to be recognized and resolved)
Internal & External Customers / Suppliers as well as Third Parties (i.e. include level or job title of customer relationship and the nature of the customer relationship management and service delivery)
All divisions
All workers in 3PL who work for Port Logistics, but take direction from Manager
People Leadership (i.e. management, motivation and development of staff as well as teamwork)
No staff in LA however, must work closely with warehouse staff
Requirements/Qualifications:
One year distribution in receiving department
Two years tailoring experience
Three years garment construction
Ten years factory management
Two years exposure to patterns
Ability to work with mathematical concepts. Able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal in English
Spanish a plus
Salary Range: 100K – 120K *Actual base salary for this role within the above range will be based upon experience, qualifications and/or assigned unit.
