Vice President Business Development (Miami, FL)

Specializing in the company’s French American clientele, the Vice President of Business Development will provide tax planning as a part of overall financial planning to clients who have personal and business dealings in France. Responsibilities include:

  1. Surveying financial regulations in the United States and France and analyzing financial information obtained from clients.
  2. Creating reports that identify opportunities for tax savings, providing hypothetical outlooks under various scenarios, and processing and updating client data when necessary.
  3. Interviewing clients to determine their current income, expenses, insurance coverage, tax status, financial objectives, risk tolerance, or other information needed to develop a financial plan.
  4. Investigating available investment opportunities to determine compatibility and the optimal character of recommendation with client situations and financial plans.
  5. Recommending strategies in cash management, insurance coverage, investment planning, or other areas to help clients achieve their financial goals.
  6. Demonstrating to clients the portability and efficiency of their recommendations whether they continue living in the US or decide to move back to France.
  7. Reviewing clients' accounts and plans regularly to determine whether life changes, economic changes, environmental concerns, or financial performance indicate a need for plan reassessment.
  8. Answering clients' questions about the purposes and details of financial plans and strategies.
  9. Explaining the company’s responsibilities and the types of services to be provided.
  10. Identifying and soliciting prospective clients in the United States that need international advice for their financial plans.
  11. Attending events organized by the French Embassy or Consulate and International Chamber of Commerce located in the US.
  12. Meeting with potential clients by organizing and giving seminars with international experts (American and French) on retirement planning, financial planning, and tax planning.
  13. Developing partnerships with French and U.S. accountants/CPAs to discuss the tax situation of existing and prospective clients.
  14. Ensuring liaison and planning coordination of cases with tax experts.

Minimum Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in International Business/Relations or closely related field that provides knowledge and skills in financial analysis relating to international business investments and financial and risk management (foreign equivalent degree acceptable).
