About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as a Senior Vice President, Legal Affairs or Vice President, Legal and Business Development. This role will be based in our Miami office and will be a crucial part of our Legal Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transaction Management: Lead efforts in overseeing cross-border aircraft leasing transactions, managing aircraft acquisitions and sales, and navigating aircraft operating leases and associated finance transactions.
- Risk Management: Identify and navigate legal risks and issues aligned with company objectives, including overseeing defaults, lease restructurings, repossessions, and handling associated litigation and bankruptcy matters.
- Business Development: Provide legal support to a global marketing and transaction team, and assist in the development and maintenance of departmental policies.
- Team Management: Assist in the management of staff and contribute to special projects as required.
Requirements:
- Education: Law degree, backed by a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience: Extensive background in aviation leasing and finance, whether with a law firm or in-house with an aircraft leasing company.
- Skills: Proven ability to engage with senior management and effectively manage staff, exceptional negotiation, interpersonal, and legal skills, and demonstrated commercial acumen.
