Payroll Specialist (214682-05)

Our client is seeking an accounting professional to join their team as a Payroll Specialist. In this role, you will process weekly and bi-weekly payroll, respond to payroll inquiries, and complete certified payroll reports.

The ideal candidate will have 1 year of payroll or accounting experience and previous experience using accounting/payroll software.

Responsible for processing weekly and bi-weekly payroll for up to 200 employees.

Hours Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm Location Kalihi, Honolulu, Oahu Pay $25 an hour Responsibilities
  • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll.
  • Complete weekly certified payroll reports and exhibits.
  • Verify, reconcile and correct processed payroll.
  • Process new hire information, termination, and wage changes.
  • Handle employment verifications.
  • Respond to payroll inquiries.
  • Code monthly invoices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of payroll or accounting experience.
  • Previous experience using accounting/payroll software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
