We are seeking a friendly and organized Patient Registration Specialist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our clinic, the Patient Registration Specialist will be responsible for ensuring a positive patient experience. You will be required to greet customers, register patients, and collect payments. In addition, the Patient Registration Specialist will be responsible for verifying insurance eligibility and answering incoming calls. This position will float between our various office locations in the Columbus, Ohio area.


Responsibilities:

• Update all patient demographics at each visit

• Schedule, reschedule and confirm patient appointments

• Scan documents in to EHR, as needed

• Collect and post copayments and payments for non-covered items sold

• Verify referrals are in place for patients

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

• Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs)

• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment

• Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred


Work hours: 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Occasional overtime and travel will be required. This position will float between our various office locations in the Columbus, Ohio area.

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
