- The laboratory of Jonathan Peled is seeking a highly motivated and successful individual with a background in microbiology/microbiome, immunology, and/or prior experience or interest in computational/bioinformatics approaches.
- The lab focuses on investigating how the gut microbiome interacts with the host immune system in the context of cancer immunotherapy and allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation.
- How does the microbiome affect multiple myeloma biology and treatment response
- Understanding how environmental exposures (e.g. diet, antibiotics) mediate or mitigate microbiome injury in patients receiving cancer therapy or mouse models thereof
- Identifying microbiome-derived metabolites that modulate host immunity
