The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for implementation, maintenance, and disaster recovery protection of Windows servers, Azure Virtual Machines and Azure platform-as-a-service components. This role is a "hands-on", technical position with direct system administration functions. This role also maintains Disaster Recovery documentation including program documents and scenario-based recovery playbooks.
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Research, install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade platforms and software
- Provide recommendations and technical assistance in evaluating new systems
- Engage in IT Projects to ensure disaster recovery and availability integral to system architecture
- Work directly and with other Team members on backup and availability configuration
- Responsible for level 3 support and troubleshooting of assigned applications
- Monitor the health of various systems and respond to alerts that may be warnings of pending critical issues
- Assist in evaluating the business relevance and requirements of applications and upgrades under consideration

Qualification and experience:- Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience
- Experience with Azure cloud services, including IaaS and PaaS components
- Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and implementation
- Proficiency in Windows Server Administration
- Critical thinker with excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Team player with great interpersonal skills
- Strong writing skills for policy and process documents
- No license or certification is required for the position
