Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Systems Administrator in the Oil & Gas - Exploration and Production industry based in Houston, Texas. As a Systems Administrator, your primary role will be to manage and maintain the IT infrastructure of the organization. This entails managing server hardware, network devices, software applications, and user accounts to ensure smooth operation and security of the IT systems.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, both physical and virtual.
• Monitoring server performance and troubleshooting issues.
• Implementing security measures to protect server data.
• Designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Troubleshooting network connectivity problems and managing network security policies.
• Installing, configuring, and updating of software applications.
• Executing patch management and vulnerability assessments.
• Providing technical support to users.
• Managing user accounts including creating, modifying, and deleting user accounts.
• Assigning user permissions and access privileges.
• Implementing and managing backup procedures, and restoring data in case of system failures or disasters.
• Maintaining detailed documentation of IT systems and processes, and creating and updating system diagrams and procedures.• Proficient in Cisco Technologies
• Experienced with Citrix Technologies

• Relevant certification or degree in Systems Administration or related fields
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly.
