Nature of Work:

The Community Relations Internship provides an opportunity to learn about the planning, execution and implementation of Community Relations/Kroenke Sports Charities department.  The position will assist with the coordination of department programs, community events and player appearances.

Examples of work performed:

  • Assists with:
    • Colorado Avalanche and Denver Nuggets community programs
    • Colorado Avalanche and Denver Nuggets license plate campaign
    • Community Pride Ticket program
    • Autograph item donation program
    • Game night programs and events (occasional)
    • Department inventory management and organization
      • Data entry, photo labeling and department metrics management
    • Fundraising events activities: 
      • Events
        • Colorado Avalanche Charity Golf Classic
        • Mile High Dreams Gala
        • Colorado Avalanche Charity Brunch
      • Online and in-arena auctions
    • League initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum
    1. High School Diploma or GED
    2. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • Preferred
    1. Currently pursuing, or recently received, a college degree 
    2. Ability to acquire or produce and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet company vehicle driving standards.

Compensation:

  • $18.29
  • 29 hours per week
