    About Our Client

    My client is a multinational corporation with diverse business segments. Based out of the Exeter, Rhode Island area, they manufacture unique products in the chemical space. They produce material used in several industries including the healthcare, graphic systems, semiconductor and industrial products.

     

    Job Description

    The main responsibilities of the Production Supervisor include, but are not limited to: 

     

  • Develop and implement a work schedule to support 24/5 operations, ensuring efficient use of manpower to meet daily demand.
Collaborate with management, engineering, and maintenance to identify equipment and material needs, addressing any constraints or concerns.Operate independently with minimal supervision, making informed decisions based on established procedures, and understanding MOC, ECN, and SETCO requirements.Lead and develop team members, monitor their performance, and ensure alignment with HR policies. Provide training and certification at the task level.Participate in daily Production Scheduling meetings to ensure the production team is aligned with schedule changes and operational needs.Ensure GMP compliance among direct reports, maintain accurate documentation, and uphold high quality standards by adhering to established policies. Write, review, and approve standard operating procedures and work instructions.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Production Supervisor will have the following qualifications: 

 

An Associate degree or equivalent education, combined with relevant experience in manufacturing operations, is preferred.8 years of experience in the manufacturing space is required3 years in a supervisory role is requiredStrong conflict resolution skills are required to foster effective employee-supervisor relationships.Must have a solid understanding of root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5Y, fishbone diagrams).Proficiency in computer skills is essential, with familiarity in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and ERP systems like SAP.Preferred candidates will have formal Lean training and certification, as well as Six Sigma or process excellence certification. Familiarity with SAP is also preferred.Must have the technical skill set to support operations and prevent process interruptions, ensuring production demands are met.This is a safety-sensitive role that requires successful completion of a post-offer drug screening. One of the essential functions is the ability to remain in a constant state of alertness and perform duties safely.
