Job Description

Grace is seeking an Associate General Counsel, Chief Labor & Employment Counsel to join our Legal Leadership team as we grow and develop our organization to build a scalable platform for rapid organic and inorganic growth. This role reports to our Senior Vice President, General Counsel and is located in Columbia, MD.

The Associate General Counsel, Chief Labor & Employment Counsel is responsible for counseling on all labor & employment matters globally, including managing labor & employment litigation and union negotiations.  The position is responsible for effective and efficient labor & employment legal processes and developing team members.

Required Qualifications
-J.D. with strong academic record and active member in good standing of a State Bar.
-Minimum of 10 years of experience in labor and employment, with at least 4 years in-house and with significant experience in a large and sophisticated corporate environment.
-Experience managing broad and complex labor & employment matters, including union and labor relations matters
-Experience with privacy regulation, particularly regarding employee and customer/vendor information
-The highest level of judgment, discretion, and integrity.
-Demonstrated ability to manage complex labor & employment matters
-Significant union/labor relations experience
-Experience building and developing robust labor & employment processes and templates
-Demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders
-Excellent written and oral communication skills
-Dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive team and environment
