Job Summary and QualificationsThe Market Director provides leadership through planning, organizing, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating the care provided for patients that also aligns with the goals and objectives of the organization. Responsibilities include fiscal, human resource, risk management, operational functions, strategic planning and program development as well as maintaining 24 hour accountability. The Director performs delegated duties and functions within the philosophy and overall scope of responsibility. The Director displays positive support for the values and mission of Wesley Medical Center.
- Work with senior leadership, department directors, unit managers, and program coordinators across facilities to streamline processes, develop best evidence-based clinical protocols, and facilitate cardiovascular patient care
- Aligns with the iCARE behavioral standards and to be reflected in the way every employee interacts with co-workers, providers, patients, and family members.
- Oversees the investigation, documentation, and resolution of complaints or incidents concerning patients, visi tors, physicians, and staff
- Accountable for the assessment and evaluation of staffing patterns for proper utilization of personnel
- Oversees the development and implementation of goals and objectives for all direct report departments.
- Evaluates opportunities to implement new technology/services to differentiate and drive service volume.
- Leads, coaches, develops, and recognizes staff to maximize performance and growth
- Accountable for all direct report departmental specific records and certifications, as required
- Consistently operates the service line(s) within established fiscal guidelines. Identify cost-effective systems needed to support the services, considering business trends, resource availability, and changes in customers.
- Oversees the improvement of operational functions within cardiology services.
- Represents Wesley Medical Center in physician, vendor, and community relations related to cardiology.
- Establishes and maintains effective and respectful communication in development of all collaborative relationships
- Maintains current professional knowledge, acts as a role model/resource, and oversees direct patient care to patients
- Establishes and maintains positive relations with physicians and referring facilities.
- Leads business development initiatives for all direct report departments.
- Ensures commitment to hospital life-safety, quality, and risk management policies, procedures, and standards of regulatory agencies.
- Actions reflect an excellent understanding of customer service. Resolves difficult or challenging situations in an innovative manner; consistently plans ahead to decrease inconveniences to customers/patients.
- Current Licensure in the State of Kansas as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Current Multi-State Licensure as a Registered Nurse OR Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist by the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts
- Five years of progressive management experience in a healthcare setting
- Bachelors degree (or current enrollment) in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field. Masters degree preferred
- In depth knowledge of Cardiovascular standards of care and regulatory issues
