The Mullen-Polk Foundation is considered an "essential" workplace, our team provides care for youth who are currently placed in the Washington State Foster Care system and have been placed in a staffed residential facility/group care.

We are currently seeking reliable staff that will supervise and support 5 BRS youth at a staffed residential facility between the ages of 12 and 17.

Shifts: Full-time
11:00 PM - 8 AM

Key Functions and Responsibilities:

provide guidance and supervision to all youth in care.
will provide the youth with daily medication(s).
prepare meals and snacks per the posted monthly menu(s).
will provide transportation to and from activities, counseling, and other services.
will make telephone calls to confirm appointments and locate resources, and perform other duties as assigned.
conduct weekly groups (behavior management, independent living skills and positive behavior support) and one-on-one(s) with youth
will maintain current information, and adhere to, program policies and procedures.
maintain records and statistics as required by the agency, state, and other funding sources.
and will perform administrative assignments as requested.

Education and Experience:

Be at least 21 years of age
Minimum High School diploma, Associate, Bachelor's Degree or Master
A minimum of 6 months working with children.
Possess the experience, personal qualities, and practice skills to work effectively with professionals from a variety of disciplines both internally and with other organizations.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check, which may include fingerprinting
Must complete all 16 hours of training to be left unsupervised with the youth.
Attend all staff meetings

Additional requirements include:

Flexible schedule, and be available a minimum of 32 hours per week
Reliable transportation, with a current WA, ID, or OR Driver's License and auto insurance
Ability to relate to and work with youth who are emotionally upset, and at times hostile.
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions
Must also fulfill all contract and program training requirements
Call candidate will undergo WA child abuse clearance, FBI check and Criminal Background Check and
Provide Negative TB Test.
