Summary: 

Shipping Coordinator assists shipping manager in all activities in the Shipping/Receiving Department.  Assists as needed in planning and implementing scheduled shipments to support customer needs.  Assists in inventory reconciliation and all associated transactions, cycle counts, inventory adjustments and material control in accordance with AIB standards.  Assists in receipt, storage, and control of incoming raw materials and all associated electronic transactions.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Run daily shipping report hourly to build shipping schedule.
  2. Create bill of ladings for multiple product types.
  3. Ensure reports and bill of ladings are accurate for scheduling shipments to meet customer’s required dates. 
  4. Collaborate with customer service representatives to prioritize shipments.
  5. Coordinate LTL and truckload shipments with ProAmpac routed freight.
  6. Coordinate LTL and truckload shipments with customer routed freight.
  7. Confirm orders shipped and run day end conformation reports.
  8. Supervise storage and control of raw materials in accordance with AIB standards.
  9. Process required documents as related to shipments.
  10. Responsible for housekeeping of office.
  11. Assist with inventory counts monthly, quarterly, and end of year.
  12. Support continuous improvement activities to support efficiency enhancement, safety improvements, inventory accuracy, shipment timeliness and process improvements.
  13. Will be required to work overtime as needed.
  14. Other duties as assigned

 Education and Training, Experience and Skill Requirements

    1. High School diploma or equivalent.
    2. Shipping operations experience.
    3. Computer skills.
    4. Microsoft Word and Excel
    5. Good leadership skills
