Brownstein Rask LLP is hiring an experienced legal assistant/paralegal to join our probate team.
Probate accounts and procedures knowledge is a plus, but not necessary.

Competitive salary plus benefits.

Position is not initially offered as hybrid. A minimum of one year working in office while training and gaining familiarity with office and probate procedures is required.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Reporting to and assisting attorneys in representing clients in probate proceedings, trust administration, estate planning and guardianships
-Creating letters, legal documents and memos in Word, tables of contents and spreadsheets in Excel
-Organizing, filing and maintaining all correspondence and documents in iManage (DMS - prior training in iManage is not required)
-Formatting legal numbered documents and exhibits
-Organizing and tracking probate case deadlines
-Maintaining confidences, including protection of sensitive personal information
-Entering, editing and tracking daily time in time-entry application according to required deadlines
-Documenting revisions, faxing, copying and similar
-Maintaining excellent attendance and positive attitude

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
-A minimum of 5 years work background as a legal assistant, degree in paralegal a plus, but not required
-Office experience including preparing correspondence, agreements and related documents
-Experience with Oregon and Washington court filings
-Excellent planning and organizing skills
-Ability to work independently and in collaboration with a team
-Proficiency with typing and applications including Word, Outlook, Excel, Acrobat Pro DC, PowerPoint
