  • SPO I armed status has limited arrest authority for certain conditions under 161K of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954.
  • May perform Security Command Center duties as needed, responding to alarms and dispatching patrols.
  • As a condition of employment, Security Police Officers are represented by the Security Police Association (SPA) and represented employees must pay the monthly membership dues or agency fee.
  • Qualifications We Require: Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level security clearance or a Department of Defense Top Secret and a TRF100 (SPOI) Tactical Response Force I certification to start.
  • Ability to maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level security clearance.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and ensure accuracy in documentation and data review.
  • Applicants must be able to meet and maintain fitness and firearm requirements as well as the ability to maintain all required certifications, licenses, and qualifications DOE regulations are the basic authority for the establishment of firearms, medical, and physical fitness standards for security personnel.
