The Opportunity

This position works out of our Willis Tower or Abbott Park, IL location in our PA Public Affairs division.   

The Social Insights Strategist is part analyst, part creative problem solver. Youâll lead the charge in tracking and analyzing data and developing insights-driven recommendations that improve our content performance. This includes uncovering universal truths and trends within our communities that help drive relevancy and performance of our content and storytelling. The role extends to social listening for all reactive and proactive listening â understanding conversation themes, flagging emerging issues and spotting social trends to tap into. As a key player, youâll collaborate cross-functionally with our enterprise digital teams to implement best practices in social listening for issues management and conversation insights.

The role requires a deep understanding of digital and social analytics as well as the ability to go beyond simply reporting on data to telling stories using the data. It will require being able to synthesize findings from multiple sources and across KPIs.

This role is part of the Content team, a group within Abbottâs global marketing and external affairs team. The ideal candidate is motivated and proactive, with a passion for insights-driven marketing, a hunger for problem solving, and an analytical mindset. You enjoy collaborating with colleagues to create effective solutions and are able to step up to push projects forward.

What Youâll Work On

  • Optimize social programs through measurement and analysis to support company objectives
  • Demonstrate a strong interest in and understanding of social and digital metrics and trends.
  • Monitor and evaluate digital and social media results on a daily/weekly/monthly basis and develop recommendations to improve against goals and benchmarks
  • Create and maintain a reporting system to deliver insights on content performance to key stakeholders.
  • Manages and evolves Sprinklr functionality and capabilities for social listening, performance analysis and reporting.
  • An ability to translate insights into action across channels to create breakthrough content
  • Deep understanding and user of social media with the ability to leverage the platforms to engage our target audience
  • Recommend and conduct A/B testing with social messaging, imagery, audience groups and social listening tools
  • Think strategically and be insightful with the ability to tell a story that converts data into actionable insights.
  • Be a change-agent within our team, helping to propose new, innovative approaches to analytics and measurement that push us to think differently.

Required Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in analytics function within the marketing/PR/digital media industry
  • Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations.
  • Experience using social analytics platforms such as Sprinklr or similar analytics tools; must be comfortable learning new systems and tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Time management and prioritization skills and the ability to juggle multiple deliverables and timelines at once in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written, presentation, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.

The base pay for this position is $72,700.00 â $145,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
