The Role:
If you are passionate about crafting engaging social content, creating viral TikTok videos, and immersing yourself in the live event industry, this position is tailored for you. We are seeking a dynamic and collaborative individual to lead our Social Media team and make a significant impact across Vivid Seats and Vivid Picks social platforms.
As the Social Media Lead, you will supervise our Social Media Specialist, manage Vivid Seats' comprehensive social presence, and collaborate effectively with various teams: creative, customer experience, PR, SEO, and performance, to enhance our brand visibility across social channels.
Your Contributions to Vivid Seats' Success:
- Enhance our brand visibility, fostering increased trust among fans.
- Spot real-time opportunities to cultivate brand loyalty, boost awareness, and delight our audience.
- Leverage social listening and channel monitoring to gain insights into our community and share findings with stakeholders.
- Oversee the creation of our content strategy and monthly schedules across social platforms.
- Collaborate with teams to facilitate the sourcing, ideation, and co-creation of original content tailored for social media, utilizing our state-of-the-art content creation studio.
- Conduct monthly reporting to identify trends and insights that will guide future content and business strategies.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of social media and influencer collaborations with business objectives, including audience engagement and growth targets.
- Be available for occasional evening and weekend work as required (for events such as concerts, festivals, NFL season, etc.).
- Work alongside the creative team to produce top-tier social content and refine the Vivid Seats brand voice across all social channels.
Expectations for Your Role as Social Media Lead:
First 30 Days:
- Familiarize yourself with Vivid Seats' values and organizational goals to understand how your department drives initiatives forward.
- Gain insights into the ticket marketplace operations and your role in enhancing customer experiences.
- Understand the collaboration between marketing and creative teams in launching campaigns.
- Develop a comprehension of the brand's identity, social channels, and media outlets.
First 90 Days:
- Initiate and lead projects that enhance processes, foster innovation, and embody Vivid Seats' values.
- Build and maintain relationships internally and externally to drive progress and achieve objectives.
First 180 Days:
- Design and implement process enhancements that positively influence the team.
- Mentor colleagues, actively contributing to the development of their skills.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience in social media or community management within an Ad/PR agency is preferred.
- Experience with paid social campaigns is advantageous.
- A collaborative mindset: Work with business partners, agencies, and key stakeholders to design and execute brand social activities, from editorial calendar development to insights mining for social content briefs and direct engagement with customers and fans.
- Ability to identify and track ongoing trends, as well as escalate potential issues to internal stakeholders.
- Proven track record in establishing social media strategy and content direction.
- A strong passion for the sports or entertainment industry is essential.
- Extensive knowledge of social channel mechanics and best practices.
- Experience with enterprise social media tools (Hootsuite, Sprout, Khoros, Talkwalker, etc.).
- Deep understanding of social media metrics and data analysis, with ownership of data touchpoints.
- Adaptable and flexible personality capable of managing the dynamic demands of the role while working in both strategic and executional capacities.
- A positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for utilizing the latest apps, tools, and social platforms to create content and engage communities.
