Overview

The Service & Sales Specialist is a multifunctional role including sales, service, and customer service for our customers in the mining industry. This position is responsible for maintaining relationships with existing customers in the lubrication industry, focused on industrial and off-highway commercial lubricant sales and service.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. The Company reserves the right to add to, delete, change or modify the essential duties and responsibilities at any time. All work is to be completed with minimum supervision and in accordance with Company standards. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsible for meeting sales and profit goals for territory. Experience in the lubrication industry, specifically lubrication in industrial and off-highway commercial vehicle markets preferred.Understands company profitability and manages territory toward maximizing returns.Implements sales processes adopted by company. Generates lists of projects and new technologies for use as sales opportunities or receives lists based on information from PetroChoice or supplier marketing groups.Provide hands on technical and sales support to existing customers in the mining industry.Inspect the plant and manufacturing equipment in different locations. Make recommendations for and complete preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of customer equipment.Audit and/or inspect customer lubrication systems involving grease and circulating systems in both plant and mining applications.Participate in field inventory control, take readings on tanks.Create reports detailing observations and actions taken at customer facilities.Advocate for customer satisfaction for services rendered.Manage relationships and support the needs of customers to increase penetration and retention.Travel to high-priority existing and prospective locations as needed.Contribute both on an individual level and as a member of a larger team.Understand and support company sales policies, procedures, and sales culture to provide effective customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, or 2 year technical mechanical, engine, and/or fluid power degree or 2 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write proposals and technical documents that conform to prescribed style and format.

MATH ABILITY:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference; to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations, and proportions to practical situations

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to read and understand journal entries and the flow of information through a general ledger. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have demonstrated experience using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint. Salesforce is preferred.

This is a field position. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, stand, sit, and walk distances over 3 miles.
