As the Manager Respiratory Therapy, you will oversee the daily operations of the Respiratory Therapy department reporting to the Director of Respiratory. Your role will be critical in ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care. You will manage a team of skilled respiratory therapists, coordinate with other healthcare professionals, and implement best practices and new technologies in respiratory care. Your leadership will drive departmental excellence and support the hospital s mission of providing outstanding healthcare.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Management: Provide effective leadership and management to the respiratory therapy team, ensuring high standards of care are met and maintained.
  • Patient Care Coordination: Oversee patient care activities, ensuring all respiratory therapy treatments are performed accurately and efficiently.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Staff Development: Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team, providing training and mentoring to respiratory therapists.
  • Resource Management: Efficiently manage departmental resources, including staffing, budget, and equipment, to optimize operational performance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure integrated care and improve patient outcomes.

Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor s Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field; Master s Degree preferred.
  • Licensure: Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in respiratory therapy within an acute care hospital setting.
  • Leadership: Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a healthcare setting.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills; proficiency with healthcare software and technologies.
  • Certification: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required; Advanced certifications such as ACCS or NPS preferred.
