Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), including ventilation management, oxygen therapy, and aerosol therapy.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' respiratory status and develop plans to improve their respiratory function.
  • Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, including ventilators, oxygen concentrators, and aerosol generators.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in the state of New Jersey.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the NICU, with a focus on acute care and ventilation management.
  • Recent and proficient experience with oscillators, jet vents, and nitric oxide therapy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
Work Schedule

The successful candidate will be required to work every other weekend and will be expected to work a variable schedule, including evenings and weekends.
