Software Engineer, Systems Responsibilities:

  1. Research, design, develop, build and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for large distributed components that run our applications.

  2. Build new features and improve existing products.

  3. Work on problems of moderate scope.

  9. Master internal development standards from developing to releasing code in order to take on tasks and projects with increasing levels of complexity.

  11. Provide guidance and direction on container orchestration software projects.

  12. Collaborate and build relationship with cross functional partner teams to deliver projects.

  13. Provide mentorship to junior engineers.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Software, Computer Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or related field and 12 months of work experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation. Requires 12 months of experience in:

    1. Coding in one of the following industry-standard languages: C, C++, Java, or C#

  1. Python, PHP, or Haskell
  1. Relational databases and SQL
  1. Software development tools: Code editors (VIM or Emacs), and revision control systems (Subversion, GIT, or Perforce)
  1. Linux, UNIX, or other *nix-like OS as evidenced by file manipulation, advanced commands, and shell scripting
  1. Core web technologies: HTML, CSS, or JavaScript
  1. Build highly-scalable performant solutions
  1. Data processing, programming languages, databases, networking, operating systems, computer graphics, or human-computer interaction
  1. Applying algorithms and core computer science concepts to real world systems as evidenced by recognizing and matching patterns from different areas of computer science in production systems
  1. Distributed systems
  1. Building large scale container orchestration software
  1. Computer software security
  1. Programming language principle and compiler.

$207,992/year to $240,240/year + bonus + equity + benefits
