The selectee will serve as an Accountant in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer. Typical work assignments include:
Applying a comprehensive knowledge of analysis/reporting requirements, work processes, accounting systems structure, and data produced to resolve significant accounting problems.
Assuring monthly reconciliation of the proprietary and budgetary general ledger accounts to the supporting subsidiary records in Travel Oracle Prism Sunflower {TOPS) and that differences are researched and corrected.
Providing interpretive guidance to other accounting staff and functional representatives and recommends improvements to meet program objectives.
Advising other financial or budget analysts throughout the Agency and/or other agencies on issues that involve applying or tailoring methods and procedures to various situations.
Working with Systems Accountants on the resolution of accounting system issues arising from factors such as changes in legislation, regulations, and accounting standards;
