States Capitol Police (USCP). Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Analyzes and validates financial
data to ensure accurate recording and consistent reporting, initiates
processing enhancements and improvements as necessary. Serves as an expert
authority on analysis and reconciliation of integrated accounts for a variety
of accounting systems. Accounting systems include standard administrative
accounts, non-standard specialized accounts, and industrial accounts.
Develops and implements accounting policies and standards region and
agency-wide. Performs quality assurance reviews of existing and proposed
accounting processes to provide assurances as to financial integrity and
conformance to Federal laws and U.S. Capitol police regulations and practices.
Designs controls to tract financial
records, safeguard assets, and ensure accurate valuations, properly classified
transaction, and reliable financial statement and reports. Prepares statements
and reports containing essential financial information such as financial and
contractual status, general ledger accounts systems, quarterly and annual
reports, and accounts receivables due.
