Financial Disclosure Report: Not Required
Physical Demands: Work is performed for the most part while seated. However, the incumbent lifts and carries reference books, working papers, and similar items to and from meetings. A moderate amount of standing, walking, metro train, or ride sharing is required in getting to and from meeting places away from the worksite.
Major Duties:
Performs the development, reconciliation, and testing of all necessary financial reports and ensures successful consolidation of data during implementation of accounting systems.
Performs general ledger validation reviews and testing of transactions in accounting system, including managing the review of interface files and ensuring compliance with Treasury's USSGL.
Conduct research, perform analysis, and prepare documentation on root causes and solutions for fiscal and accounting issues in assigned responsibility areas.
Provide counsel to Department staff offices on the application of fiscal policies, plans, standards, and procedures, and assist with analysis and solutions for difficult and complex technical accounting matters to assure accuracy of data in accounting systems.
Perform assigned reconciliations and reviews of accounting data and configurations in accounting system to support preparation of the Department financial statements, footnotes, and supplementary financial information.
Compose documents or correspondence involving complex or technical financial, and accounting information, adapts writing to audience's level of knowledge. Proofreads own work.
