This position is in the Office of Special Reviews (OSR), which conducts administrative investigations and other reviews, and was created to increase the OIG's flexibility and capacity to promptly examine significant events and emergent issues not squarely within the scope of another OIG directorate. The day-to-day work includes:

develop detailed plans, goals and objectives for short and long-range implementation of e-discovery programs
apply broad professional and technical knowledge of e-discovery practices
collaborate with project teams to develop strategies and workflows for utilizing ESI and e-discovery tools
Utilize e-discovery platforms and tools to collect, organize, analyze, and produce ESI in compliance with legal standards and VA OIG protocols.
examining and summarizing evidence, laws, regulations, and VA policies
participating in on-the-record witness interviews

E-discovery investigative attorneys provide project teams and other OIG stakeholders with legal and investigative support, specialized technical and advisory services, and quality assurance related to electronically stored information (ESI) and data management.
